An unexpected score in any of the two sections (mostly in verbal) was seen by the test takers. There are people who scored 99.xx in quant but a meagre 20 something in verbal section and some of them seen unexpected score in quant section as well. And there are more than a thousand candidates like this. This is unbelievable as most of them did their exam well.
A total of 1.74 lakh candidates had appeared for CAT 2013. The CAT 2013 Results, however, shows that 95000 of those appearing for CAT either scored zero marks or obtained overall negative marks. The score cards released by IIMs on January 14 shows that the candidate who did not even answer any of the questions in the CAT 2013 paper, scored around 55 percentile.
CAT 2013 Convenor Dr Rohit Kapoor, refused to comment on this statistics.
The official score card of a CAT 2013 taker who did not attempt a single question, has a percentile as high as 55. In other words, the candidates who had left their paper blank would have managed at least 55 percentile this year. The score card below also implies that those candidates who would have scored at least 1 mark would have emerged with anything more than 55 percentile in their CAT 2013 exams.
*Note: The score card shown below belongs to a candidate who did not attempt any single question in CAT 2013 paper. The scores in the separate section, however, does not show ‘zero’ as CAT scoring is based on a standard process of scaling and equalization. The candidate appeared for CAT 2013 in the morning session on October 16, 2013.
A score of ‘0’ in QA and DI equals 53.61 percentile and the same in VA and LR puts a candidate on 57.23 percentile. The overall percentile for a candidate scoring zero in both the section is 55.46 percentile.

There is no transparency in the cat 2013 results. They did not even tell how they give scores. We should spread the words about this so other can also get to know about this.

Ali ImteyazI think that the claim made by them i ridiculous..I don't think that someone is so foolish to spend 1500 just for sitting in exam and waisting his one precious year....Even people claiming out hardly forms 1-2% of total so it would be ridiculous to conduct re-evaluation...and where you people sleeping when questions were leaked even same happened in TISS also ...don't post such absurd thing to mislead people..

Ali Imteyazconduct thorough research and then only claim out..even if you want to raise question then raise against SC/ST people who hardly needs to score 50% to get call from all IIM and general people needs around 99 to get call
Gourav ModiThis scorecard is of Mr. Gautam Puri, Vice President of Career Launcher. He takes CAT every year just to get the feel of the paper and to guide students. He never marks answers. http://www.gpkafunda.com/
