Ahona Das Book reviewer and editor
'S.H.E. is my...' by MOHIT JAIN from PETALS PUBLISHERS, the first one in the 'S.H.E' series, tantalized me with it's suspenseful storytelling ways.

The story unfolds itself in the  office of the editor of an English journal, where the protagonist is seen waiting impatiently. It is a big book with an intimate storyline.
With characters like 'Eklavya', 'Krishna', 'Panchali', 'Menaka', 'Arjun', 'Abhimanyu', one can't help wonder if it is Mahabharata being retold in a modern and unique way. The naming of the protagonist, 'Eklavya', because he had just 'one' love (himself), was witty and quirk.

Though different from the author's previous books that were of the self-developmental genre,  this one helps readers rediscover themselves just the same.

“Anyhow, 80% of the people can’t understand 90% of what I say. Who am I? What am I?”. The blurb had me intrigued with that one line. It efficiently hints at the mystery that wraps the novel and it's characters.

The plot deals with inner conflicts, relationship issues, complications, philosophies, emotional depth and insight with utmost subtlety. It only got more intriguing until the epilogue. Never tedious.  It is an absorbing page-turner packed with satisfyingly well-defined  characters, eccentrics, and believable circumstances.

This book, is more of a personal, intimate exploration of goodness and doing the right things at the right time.

I'd recommend it to be read by anyone who wants to read something different and unique.
